The Ministry proposes to establish a National Coastal Mission that will not only conserve the coastal environment but also promote development, generate revenue and provide employment. The National Coastal Mission will include all Phases of ICZM Project.

A draft concept note has been prepared and circulated to all the concerned Ministries and stakeholders. An inter-Ministerial consultation meeting was also held on 1st November 2017.
